Announcement of initial programs
In January 2008, the University of Illinois Global Campus will offer its initial programs in Nursing and Education, followed in 2008 with a phased rollout of programs in additional disciplines.
At today's U of I Board of Trustees meeting, the Board approved tuition rates for the following initial degree and certificate programs, which will be available when the Global Campus opens its doors in January:
- A BSN Completion Program for RNs, created in collaboration with the College of Nursing at the University of Illinois at Chicago, a top-tier nursing program in the nation. Students residing outside Illinois will pay $20,550 for the entire degree completion program ($685 per credit hour for 30 credit hours). Illinois residents will pay $18,495 for the entire program ($616.50 per credit hour for 30 credit hours).
- A Master of Education (Ed.M.) with a concentration in E-Learning, created in collaboration with the College of Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Students residing outside Illinois will pay $15,300 for the entire degree program ($425 per credit hour for 36 credit hours). Illinois residents will pay $13,770 for the entire degree ($382.50 per credit hour for 36 credit hours).
- Two Graduate Certificates in E-Learning: Foundations of E-Learning and Management of E-Learning. These certificates will each consist of three 4-credit courses from the Master of Education program. Students residing outside Illinois will pay $5,100 for the entire certificate program ($425 per credit hour for 12 credit hours). Illinois residents will pay $4,590 for the entire certificate ($382.50 per credit hour for 12 credit hours).
