Program Information

Bachelor of Business Administration Degree Completion Program

Today's business leaders need to be empowered with two main skills: managing people and managing the numbers. Our online Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Degree Completion program teaches you how to do both well.

All online BBA programs are not created equal. Our BBA is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), which accredits fewer than 5% of business schools around the world--and very few online programs. Graduating with a BBA through the University of Illinois means that you will be better equipped to meet the challenges of today's business world, and you'll be better prepared to proceed towards your MBA.

This BBA program is offered by the College of Business Administration at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). You will take courses developed and taught by University of Illinois faculty, and you will receive the same quality education you would attain from UIC's on-campus program.

The program is ideal for anyone with an associate's degree in the liberal arts, business or any other field. Applicants to the BBA program are required to have completed approximately two years of college-level coursework and have maintained a 2.5 or higher GPA. The curriculum consists of 19 courses ranging from three to four credit hours, for a total of 60 credit hours.

Some of the areas you will engage in include:

  • Strategic Management
  • Marketing
  • Management Information Systems
  • Business Ethics
  • Managerial Finance and Accounting
  • Global Economic Models
  • Negotiation and Conflict Resolutions

Through courses developed by the award-winning faculty of the UIC-CBA, you will develop and strengthen critical thinking, problem solving, communication, management, and leadership skills.

Courses are eight weeks in length, and applications are accepted at any time during the year.

AACSB Accreditation

The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) is the premier accrediting agency of collegiate business schools and accounting programs worldwide. Fewer than 5% of the world's business schools have achieved this elite distinction. BBA graduates will have a degree that is fully accredited by the AACSB, further defining their leadership credentials within the global business community.
