Online Programs from the U of I
Graduate Certificate in Business Process Management
College of Business and Management, University of Illinois at Springfield
How to Apply
Before enrolling in an online course, all students (even those not seeking a degree) must complete an application form and submit it to the Office of Admissions.
Undergraduate
Study
Applicants with 30 or more semester hours and a cumulative GPA of
2.00 or higher on a 4.00 scale from any regionally accredited institution
may be admitted as a UIS undergraduate. If you fall into this category,
you are encouraged to have completed 39 hours of required general
education courses prior to admission, but you must have completed
three semester hours of English composition as a minimum requirement.
If you have questions, please review the UIS General
Education Requirements. Graduates of regionally accredited community
colleges with an Associate of Arts or Science are considered to
have met all general education requirements. All requests for exceptions
should be directed to the Office of Admissions.
Graduate Study
Students must complete an application to UIS and have official transcripts
submitted to the Office
of Admissions in order to begin a graduate degree program. Full
admission to graduate studies may be granted to students who have
earned a baccalaureate degree with a minimum undergraduate grade-point
average of 2.50 on a 4.00 scale and who have met all specific program
requirements and prerequisite courses. Some programs may require
higher grade-point averages. Conditional admissions may be granted
to students who do not meet GPA requirements at the department's
approval. Visit the Web site of your intended program for the most
complete information.
Non-Degree
Status
Both undergraduate and graduate students may take one or two courses
each term as a non-degree student. Undergraduate non-degree students
must clarify their status before exceeding 16 hours, and graduate
students must do so before exceeding 12 hours.
Application forms, detailed admission requirements, and other useful information is available from the Admissions web site. If you cannot find what you need on the web, contact the Office of Admissions at 217-206-4847, toll-free at 888-977-4847, or via e-mail at admissions@uis.edu.
