College of Business, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
Program Information

Whether you are a current Project Manager, or interested in getting into the Project Management field, a Project Management Institute (PMI®) credential can give you an instant advantage in the marketplace. PMI credentials certify your understanding of, and competence in, the PMI Project Management Framework, and show that you know how to define business expectations, determine and provide project status measurements and are able to drive empowerment across multiple business units.
The College of Business and Illinois Business Consulting at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign can help you obtain the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) or the Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification from PMI. This exam preparation course uses innovative techniques to help you successfully pass the certification exams for either of these two, highly-desired, PMI credentials. In addition, this course will also provide you with the project management education hours required by PMI for obtaining these credentials.
Some of the benefits of enrolling in this course include:
- No pre-set start dates; it is available to you whenever you wish to begin.
- It is designed by a PMI-certified subject matter expert who is highly skilled in the PMP exam preparation field.
- Coverage of all the areas within PMI's Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide), 4th edition required for the exam.
- Review of important test-taking skills, designed to help you test smarter and more efficiently.
- Access to the online materials for four months (120 days), allowing you to complete this course as your own pace and as your schedule allows.
- An additional three month access to an online testing bank that contains over 10,000 practice questions, so you can practice exam questions as often as you wish.
- Access to PMI-certified moderators who can answer your questions anytime during your coursework.
- A "pass guarantee." In the unlikely event that you do not successfully complete either the CAPM or the PMP certification exam, you will be able to re-take the exam preparation course and have access to all the above materials for free.
