Learning Environment

Global Campus courses are delivered entirely online and rely on asynchronous discussion and collaboration as the principle form of communication. This means that for most programs, there are no class times or scheduled lectures. You complete the work on your own schedule, within the timeframe of the eight-week term. The courses take place wherever your computer is: at home, at work, on the road—anywhere you can connect to the Internet. No campus visits are required.

When you enroll in a Global Campus degree program, you will immerse yourself in a highly interactive learning environment. In addition to participating in courses and submitting assignments, you can customize elements of the interface, receive news and announcements, interact with your instructor and fellow students, and more. The environment can be extended to integrate blogs, chat rooms, discussion forums, instant messaging, and other technologies.

All Global Campus courses are eight weeks long. The accelerated format helps meet the needs of working professionals and students with busy schedules by allowing them to study efficiently and stay focused on their academic programs. See individual programs under Degrees & Certificates for course schedules and estimated completion times.
