Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree Completion Program for RNs
The Global Campus in partnership with the College of Nursing at the University of Illinois at Chicago
Program Information

The College of Nursing at the University of Illinois at Chicago, through its partnership with The Global Campus, now offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Degree Completion Program for currently licensed registered nurses who are interested in furthering their education.
Most students who apply to our BSN Degree Completion Program have already satisfied some or all of the needed prerequisites as part of their Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or other college-level coursework they've taken. On average, most of our students only need to take four to six courses beyond their ADN and/or RN licensure in order to complete the prerequisites and apply for our program.
Our BSN completion program is:
- Online, with no residency requirement, enhancing your ability to juggle your busy schedules. Practicum experiences have been designed to be completed in your region.
- A 30-credit-hour program that can be completed in as few as 16 months. Each class is 8-weeks long.
- Offered through the highly-ranked UIC College of Nursing (CON), allowing you to leverage the full power of your BSN degree.
- Taught by faculty who are thought leaders in nursing at a research powerhouse ranked third nationally in grant funding from the National Institutes of Health.
Our BSN completion program will:
- Provide you with an excellent nursing credential and prepare you to be a leader in your organization.
- Advance your career by opening avenues to larger responsibilities and a higher salary potential.
- Facilitate entry to graduate school through widespread recognition of the value of a UIC CON degree.
Our Global Campus team supports you by:
- Offering financial aid and assisting you with obtaining it
- Offering academic and other advising services through the same counselor from application through graduation
- Offering career services and membership in the University of Illinois Alumni Association to foster a continual learning environment through networking with your peers
