Technical Support

UIS students needing assistance may call the UIS Tech Support Hotline toll-free (in Illinois) at (877) 847-0443. Outside Illinois, please call (217) 206-7357. When classes are in session, telephone assistance is available Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to midnight, Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sunday from 3:30 p.m. to midnight. All times are Central Standard Time. You may also e-mail otel@uis.edu or techsupport@uis.edu for after-hours assistance.

All online students are issued Network IDs and an e-mail account on a Microsoft Exchange server which can be accessed via a standard Web browser. Students who already have an e-mail account through an Internet Service Provider do not need to use the Exchange account. Additional information about these services is available on the UIS Network Services Student Information page.

Technical Requirements

All U of I online programs require regular access to a computer with Internet connectivity. In addition, some courses have rather specific hardware and/or software requirements. Please refer to the Program Information for more details and the contact for this program.
