Michele Gribbins, MBA

Michele Gribbins is a Visiting Assistant Professor in Management Information Systems at the University of Illinois at Springfield, and is a PhD Candidate in Information Systems at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her dissertation studies focus on the fit of information technology with business processes. She is also interested in the acceptance and effectiveness of technologies in higher education. She serves as a mini-track chair for the Americas Conference on Information Systems and as an officer for the Association of Information Systems Special Interest Group on e-Business. Her research has been published in Communications of the Association for Information Systems, Electronic Markets, the International Journal of Management Theory and Practices, and has been presented at the Americas Conference on Information Systems, the International Conference on Information Systems and the Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences. She is also a member of the Association of Information Technology Professionals. She was experience as, both, a computer trainer and business instructor.

Rassule Hadidi, PhD

Dr. Hadidi is Professor and Chair of the Management Information Systems Department at the College of Business and Management at the University of Illinois at Springfield. He is also an Honorary Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship at the School of Management at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China. As a Hanson Professional Services Faculty Scholar, he teaches courses in the areas of Electronic Commerce, MIS Capstone, and Enterprise Models. He is President-elect of the Midwest United States Association for Information Systems.

Dr. Hadidi's current research interests are in the areas of mobile commerce, RFID technologies and applications, and online instruction and its comparison with the face-to-face teaching. He also looks at the major mobile commerce drivers and explores the behavioral, technological, and business/managerial impediments that currently exist for broader implementation of mobile commerce applications. Dr. Hadidi finds ways to utilize tools and technologies used in various modes of course development and delivery for the improvement of the overall teaching and learning.

He has published more than 35 peer-reviewed articles in professional journals and in international, national, and regional conference proceedings and has made more than 40 presentations at various international, national, and regional professional conferences. He has reviewed seven textbooks that are currently in use. Dr. Hadidi is currently serving on the editorial board of four academic journals and is a member of Alpha Pi Mu, Sigma Beta Delta, and Sigma Xi Academic Honor Societies.

Dr. Hadidi offered the first, fully online course from UIS in the fall of 1997 and directed the initial (1998-2000) development of the first fully online graduate level degree program (in MIS) from UIS. He is the recipient and co-recipient of numerous competitive awards, grants, and contracts since he joined UIS (SSU) in 1981. He received his BS and MS degrees in Industrial Engineering and PhD in Operations Research from the University of Missouri-Columbia and later completed Post-Doctoral Studies in MIS at Indiana University, sponsored by the Association to Advance Collegiate Business Schools (AACSB).

David Larson, EdD

Dr. Larson is Assistant Professor of Management Information Systems in Department of Management Information Systems, in the College of Business and Management at the University of Illinois at Springfield. He earned his BS in Economics and MA in Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Springfield, and an EdD from Illinois State University.

Dr. Larson is certified as a Master Online Teacher. He also is a Certified Computing Professional and Project Management Professional. He has over thirty years of professional experience in the field of information systems and has acquired considerable project management experience. Dr. Larson's research interests include the areas of project management, ethics, online and blended learning.

Xiaoqing Li, PhD

Xiaoqing Li is Assistant Professor at the Department of Management Information Systems at the University of Illinois at Springfield. He earned his PhD in Information Systems at McMaster University in Canada. His teaching interests include Management Information Systems, Decision Support Systems and Technical Foundations of Information Systems. Dr. Li's research interests are in intelligent agent systems, knowledge management and decision support systems.

Te-Wei Wang, PhD

Dr. Wang is a cross-disciplinary researcher in the areas of Information Systems and Production Operation Management. He is currently Assistant Professor in the Department of Management Information Systems at the University of Illinois at Springfield. He received his PhD in Business Administration from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. He also holds a Master of Sciences in Mechanical Engineering from University of Missouri-Rolla (Missouri Science and Technology University).

Dr. Wang is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE). Recently, he has been engaged in online and distance learning. His research interests include e-commerce assurance service, social networking, virtual society, knowledge management, online learning research, and information systems analysis and design. His work appears in journals such as Journal of Database Management and Decision Support Systems, and he has participated in many national and international conferences.

Yifeng Zhang, PhD

Dr. Zhang is Assistant Professor in the Department of Management Information Systems at the University of Illinois at Springfield. He received his doctoral degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Illinois at Chicago. His current teaching interests include management information system foundations, information security, business data communications, and data warehousing. Dr. Zhang taught computer programming courses before joining UIS. His research interests include agent-based modeling, business-to-business e-commerce, supply chain management, data mining, and wireless communications. His research has been published in various academic journals.
