Advising Services

When graduate students are accepted into a degree program, they are assigned to an advisor who will be responsible for helping them plan their academic program. After the students settle on an area of research, they are expected to select a faculty member with compatible research interests to supervise their thesis. An adviser signature is required on all petition forms submitted by students. All graduate students should read the Handbook for Graduate Students and Advisors. Undergraduate students should read the information available on the Undergraduate Academic Advising Web site.
