Tuition and Fees

Please visit http://online.engr.uiuc.edu/registration.htm for current semester tuition and fee information.

For most individual courses offered by the Urbana campus, tuition is charged by the credit hour or quarter unit, and there is no difference in the rates for residents and nonresidents. The Division of Academic Outreach lists the current costs for many of the regular credit and Guided Individual Study courses available.

Tuition for courses that are part of a degree or certificate program are governed by the rates established for that particular program. Some programs charge different rates for Illinois residents and nonresidents and some charge a flat rate regardless of residency.

Financial Aid

Students enrolled in an online program leading to a degree or certificate may be eligible for financial aid. To be considered, a current Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be on file. You must be enrolled at least part-time (registered for 6 credit hours or 1.5 units during a semester; or 3 credit hours or .75 units during summer term) and must maintain satisfactory academic progress as defined in the About Your Aid brochure at the Office of Student Financial Aid Web site. For more information contact the Division of Academic Outreach at (217) 333-3061 or (800) 252-1360.

Information about financial aid for veterans is available at the Office of Veteran's Affairs Web site or by sending e-mail to veterans@uiuc.edu.
