Instructor Qualifications
Each program has minimum requirements for instructors. Along with subject matter expertise, we are also looking for instructors who have experience in online education and accelerated education programs, as well as an understanding of adult learning theories as they relate to the online environment. Global Campus courses will be taught in 8-week terms.
Business Administration Instructor Requirements
Instructors employed in this program must be deemed qualified to teach in their subject area by either their continuing intellectual contributions to business disciplines or through continuing contributions to the practice of business. Intellectual contributions generally refer to the dissemination of research in peer reviewed, scholarly journals. Contributions to practice refer to active professional practice, maintenance of professional certifications, and/or the production of materials designed to enhance the practice of business.
Minimum qualifications for Global Campus Online BBA Instructors:
- Master's or higher degree in one of the above subjects, or in a closely related field
- Two years of demonstrated teaching excellence
- Online teaching experience preferred

- Three letters of reference that specifically address your ability to teach and capacity to work with technology
E-Learning Instructor Requirements
- Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Instructional Technology, Educational Technology, E-Learning, Instructional Design, or related field; verified by background check
- Evidence of extensive experience in teaching online supported by current CV and teaching evaluations
- Strong work ethic, consistent high quality performance, and ability to collaborate, as verified in three letters of reference
- Courses may include a weekly synchronous online session to be hosted by instructor. Session may be used for orientation, oral presentations, software demonstrations, or instructor's office hours. Instructor may require students to attend one of the weekly online synchronous sessions during the eight-week course.
- For teaching HRE 472: experience teaching basic web design using WYSIWYG editing tools such as KompoZer, an open source Web editing tool

Patient Safety Leadership Instructor Requirements
Courses in the PSL program require instructors with broad qualifications. Instructor candidates with any of the credentials listed below may be qualified to teach any of the courses in the program.
- Ph.D., Ed.D., or M.D. in a health related field such as Physical Therapy; Occupational Therapy; Speech, Language and Hearing, Pharmacy, Public Health, or Social Work
- College or university experience teaching health science students
- Online teaching experience preferred

Recreation, Sport and Tourism Instructor Requirements
Consideration for employment is based on a comprehensive review of the applicant's total package including degree level and any previous teaching and/or professional experience.
- Terminal degree preferred; Master's degree with professional experience in the course topic area acceptable, to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis
- Academic background and/or professional experience in central course topic area
- Teaching ability and the capacity to work with technology

- Why are you interested in teaching an online course?

- Describe your willingness to work with various teaching technologies.
