Instructors
Qualifications: E-Learning
Each Global Campus program has minimum requirements for instructors. Along with subject matter expertise, we are also looking for instructors who have experience in online education and accelerated education programs, as well as an understanding of adult learning theories as they relate to the online environment. Global Campus courses will be taught in 8-week terms.
- Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Instructional Technology, Educational Technology, E-Learning, Instructional Design, or related field; verified by background check
- Evidence of extensive experience in teaching online supported by current CV and teaching evaluations
- Strong work ethic, consistent high quality performance, and ability to collaborate, as verified in three letters of reference
- Courses may include a weekly synchronous online session to be hosted by instructor. Session may be used for orientation, oral presentations, software demonstrations, or instructor's office hours. Instructor may require students to attend one of the weekly online synchronous sessions during the eight-week course.
- For teaching HRE 472: experience teaching basic web design using WYSIWYG editing tools such as KompoZer, an open source Web editing tool
- For teaching HRE 474: experience collecting and disseminating qualitative and quantitative research data; experience developing and implementing evaluation plans, and interpreting and communicating evaluation results to stakeholders
