Program Information

The Certificate is designed for workers and unionists who want to focus their studies on skills-based courses.
Six three-credit UIUC Global Labor Studies courses are required. (National Labor College skills- based courses may also be counted with the permission of the Labor Education Director.)

At least three of the six courses must be in the following courses:
LIR 250 Grievance Representation
LIR 260 Union Organizing
LIR 270 Collective Bargaining
LIR 280 Labor Law
LIR 290 Workplace Health and Safety
