International Students
We consider an international student to be any student who does not have American citizenship or permanent residency status. Whether applying as an undergraduate or graduate student, all international students must complete the following requirements.
Applicants with international credentials must present official academic records for all post-secondary school study, including:
- List of all subjects/courses studied each year
- Grades or examination results received
- Maximum and minimum grades obtainable
- Certified/attested English translation of all credentials
- Degrees, certificates, and diplomas awarded
- Official syllabus in English fully describing all coursework attempted
- Records not issued in English must be accompanied by an English translation that is certified by an appropriate school official, official translator, or U.S. embassy or consulate official.
Records are considered official if they meet one of the following criteria:
- The issuing institution sends them directly to the University of Illinois Global Campus, 510 Devonshire, Suite H, Champaign, IL, 61820.
- They are certified as true copies by an official of the educational institution, an embassy official, or an appropriate government official.
- They have been received in an envelope sealed by the issuing institution.
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
A score of at least 550 on the paper-based (pbt) Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), 213 on the computer-based test (cbt), or 79 on the Internet-based test (ibt) is the minimum score requirement for any University of Illinois Global Campus program.
